Stoner Rockers Starcrawler Release Video for “No More Pennies”

Singer Arrow de Wilde delivers another body blow for one of LA’s most exciting bands.

If you aren’t following what Starcrawler is doing in the LA rock scene, you’re missing out on one of the most exciting, genuine, and unrelenting movements the city has had in quite some time. Singer Arrow de Wilde is part Karen O, part Alice Glass, and an absolute tornado of a frontwoman, while the band is unapologetically LA without being derivative of any of its influences.

The group’s eponymous first album was released in 2018, but it’s 2019’s Devour You that is an instant classic. Says de Wilde of the album, “It’s a record that encapsulates all the blood, sweat, bruised knees, and broken fingers of a Starcrawler show.” And media heavyweights like the L.A. Times, Rolling Stone, i-D, and Q have all praised the group’s authenticity.

Check out the video for “No More Pennies” here and read more about the band’s latest full-length, Devour You.
